It seems like every day, more headlines point to disruption in the real estate industry. Between a bombshell verdict in the Sitzer/Burnett lawsuit on real estate commissions, other lawsuits making their way through the courts, and the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission’s interest in real estate compensation practices, many real estate professionals are currently feeling anxious and confused about the future of the industry. During this presentation, Chris Lumia from Stellar MLS will dispel some of the myths, paint the big picture on the legal and regulatory challenges in the industry, and share the steps that Stellar MLS has been taking to ensure its subscribers will thrive during any changes or disruption.

About our Speaker
Chris Lumia started his career in higher education administration, eventually serving as a Senior Academic Program Coordinator for a large, multi-campus community college. During this time, Chris also began to practice real estate.
In 2014, Chris decided to blend his passion for both education and real estate and became a Lead Trainer for Stellar MLS. Chris then became Stellar MLS’s first Broker Success Manager and is now the Business Development Manager. Chris oversees the day-to-day operations of the Business Development Team in engaging the broker community, liaising with shareholder REALTOR® associations, and helping Stellar MLS expand to new markets.
He is a Certified Multiple Listing Executive (CMLX-2) and holds several certifications from the National Association of REALTORS®. Chris loves strategizing with real estate professionals on maximizing the use of their MLS tools!
