George Beardsley was a reporter for the Chicago Tribune and a commodity and stock broker in Chicago before moving to Florida. He has been licensed in real estate since 1992 and a broker since 1996. He received the Bronze Star Medal for service as an intelligence officer in the Republic of Viet Nam. He was graduated from the University of Missouri (Columbia) with a bachelor's and master's of arts degree and awarded membership in Kappa Tau Alpha, the national journalism hororary. He worked as an engineer and announcer for radio stations in Maryland and Wisconsin and then in Columbia Missouri while attending the university. George and his wife Maryan, also a Realtor, buy, renovate and sell houses in West Pasco and Pinellas County and live in Dunedin with three Australian Sheperds. He holds a Federal Communications amateur extra class license and is a member of the amateur radio DX Century Club for proof of two-way radio contact with more than 100 countries.
