About

Bob is originally from Indiana and the youngest of 9.   He graduated from Purdue University with degrees in Public Relations and Spanish. He moved to St. Petersburg in 2000 with his two young daughters and a short time later obtained his Florida Real estate license. After nearly a quarter-century in Florida he considers himself to be a true Floridian. He enjoys spending time outdoors connecting with nature and is an avid camper. Bob began in real estate at an ERA franchise known for its integrity and excellent training. Bob's experience in reviewing and negotiation contracts while working at his family medical supply company, and his midwest work ethic gave him an edge over other agents. As soon as he was eligible he obtained his broker's license and quickly became the go-to person with his peers in the office when complicated issues arose.  In 2009 Bob opened his own firm, Watts Realty Group. With a small team Watts Realty Group quickly became a presence in the St. Petersburg market. In 2017 Bob accepted an opportunity to be the lead broker of a local RE/MAX office which was the area’s top producing firms.  Bob jumped right in managing over 200 agents in 3 locations as the company's lead broker.  Bob thrived  In that fast paced environment, assisting his agents in growing their business.  He was able to put his contract knowledge and negotiating skills were put to task.   Bob has a unique ability to deescalate tense situations. Bob also has extensive knowledge and insight with the various and overlapping governing bodies in Real Estate. In early 2019 Bob left his position at RE/MAX and embarked on a new venture as a consultant and transformational life coach working with individuals inside and outside the real estate business. Bob spent a little over a year as the statewide broker of record for Found It Homes getting them established in the state and joining over 27 multiple listing services throughout Florida. In 2024 Bob came full circle reopening Watts Realty. Bob is an active member of the Pinellas Realtor Organization.  He served 3 years on the Grievance Committee and is currently serving on Professional Standard Committee.  Bob is also a regular attendee and guest speaker of his board’s Real Estate Mastermind group, bringing an annual discussion of work-life balance in real estate, effective use contracts and the use of the brokerage agreement. .  Bob is a registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with a focus on meditation. In addition to selling real estate, Bob also teaches Yoga at the St. Pete YMCA and hosts regular lectures on meditation and mindfulness practices.    Bob is happily partnered enjoys amusement parks and spending time with his now adult children.
