This course is brought to you by the Pinellas REALTOR® Organization & Central Pasco REALTOR® Organization in collaboration with Greater Tampa REALTORS®, REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, and Bonita Springs-Estero REALTORS®.

The goals of this Asia/Pacific and International Real Estate course are to:  

§ Identify important laws, cultural norms, and geographic factors of various Asian markets that will help you facilitate successful real estate transactions.  

§ Assess opportunities in Asian real estate markets by understanding the history of specific regions, investment patterns, and trends in real estate activity.  

§ Learn ways to develop a professional network that will help you to start or enhance an international real estate business with Asian clients and properties.

Instructor

Trisha Roy is the Broker and CEO of Open Spaces International, Florida's premier International real estate brokerage.

Trisha Roy is an International REALTOR®, Instructor and diversity and sustainability specialist, and represents a broad spectrum understanding of international business and real estate education.

Trisha holds National Association of REALTORS® designations of CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist), GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute), AHWD (At Home With Diversity) and GREEN (Green design and redesign consultant) designations.

In her academic background, Trisha holds two masters degrees, the first in Ecology & Environment, from the Indian Institute of Ecology & Environment, and her research work on Behavioral Ecology of Red Pandas in the Himalayan foothills received a Distinction. Sustainable development, juxtaposed against the real challenges of wild habitat encroachment formed much of her work in India. She also holds a second masters degree in Business Management, from Kettering University, and her research in that effort explored how sustainability and planning could have impacted the story of Flint, MI.

She is a published author, with many publications in newspapers, magazines, both as a poet and a writer on topics of ecological and environmental interest, on leadership theories, as well as one book. She writes for the Gainesville Sun. 

***This course is one of the three elective courses to earn the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation. The CIPS Network comprises 4,500+ real estate professionals from 50 countries and is the specialty membership group for global business practitioners of the National Association of Realtors®. The CIPS designation prepares Realtors® to service the growing international market in their local community by focusing on culture, exchange rates, investment trends, and legal issues. Each course is approved for 6 hours of Specialty CE Credit for Florida Licensees  upon successful course completion. All REALTOR® attendees will receive credit towards NAR's CIPS Designation.
