Seaport Manatee Tour & Educational Session

Tuesday, October 3, 2023 (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join us for a tour of SeaPort Manatee, where you'll discover the vital role it plays in our community. Tour the busy terminals, witness maritime operations, and learn about the port's economic impact.

Enjoy a delicious lunch and network with industry professionals. Following lunch will be informative presentations on FIRPTA and 1031 exchanges, providing valuable insights into real estate and investment.

Jill Bowen, Esq. from Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC will be presenting on FIRPTA and 1031 exchanges. We will discuss what FIRPTA is, how best to serve your client during a FIRPTA transaction, and which exceptions may apply to your transaction. We will also cover 1031 transactions, how a 1031transaction works, and what important deadlines you need to keep in mind throughout the process. Additionally, we'll discuss the recently passed law regarding foreign individuals purchasing property in Florida.

This event is brought to you by the Global Business Council (GBC) and the Commercial Real Estate Alliance (CREA). Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore, connect, and enhance your knowledge in one enriching event.
