This course offers REALTORS a chance to understand the world of mold in the real estate industry. Our goal is to equip real estate professionals with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of mold laws, assessment, and remediation techniques. This will empower them to make informed decisions when handling mold-related problems in properties and provide expert advice to their clients.

Key Learning Objectives:

Legal Expertise: Develop an understanding of the laws and regulations surrounding mold in residential properties, ensuring compliance, and protecting both realtor and client interests.

Mold Assessment: Learn how to accurately handle mold situations when they show up in an inspection report with an emphasis on who to call and when an assessment is necessary.

Remediation Methods: Learn about when mold remediation is needed, including when to engage specialists and how the remediation process works.

Client Communication: Enhance skills in communicating mold issues to clients, offering clear advice and guidance on addressing mold problems.

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for realtors who wish to strengthen their professional practice and offer superior service to their clients. By understanding the intricacies of mold issues, realtors can confidently handle these challenges and help clients navigate the buying and selling process with greater assurance.

Upon completion of this course, attendees will have the knowledge for addressing mold-related issues, enhancing their reputation as real estate professionals.

"Joseph Margherita has over 25 years of experience in the Mold and Restoration industry, he embarked on this journey as a field technician back in 1999. He holds certifications from the IICRC in Water Damage Restoration (WRT), Fire & Smoke Restoration (FSRT), Odor Control (OCT), as well as expertise in trauma and mold remediation. He is a licensed Real Estate Instructor in Florida, New York, and New Jersey and was the first person to be licensed in NY to do Mold. He presently holds a Mold Assessors License in the state of Florida.


Florida licensees will earn 3 hours of Specialty CE Credit upon successful course completion.
